A Special Message

2010 was such a landmark year for Living Waters Asia. We really saw God's hand in everything the ministry had accomplished. We are very thankful that you partnered with us in 2010. And so LWA made this short video clip so we can express to you our appreciation for your obedience to God's call to work hand-in-hand w/ us in delivering the true Gospel to the unsaved and in teaching and challenging other Christians to do the same. Please watch the video below:

December: Christmas Parties and Gospel-Sharing

"Tis the season to be jolly... and share the Gospel and give God the glory!" That's what Living Waters Asia did this Christmas season, from December 13 to 18.

December 13 was the day we held our yearly Christmas party for the inmates of the provincial juvenile jail of Bulacan (we've been doing this for five years already). We had the usual singing of Christmas carols, fun games & food. But most importantly, we again declared the Gospel to the young inmates. Although LWA holds a weekly Bible study in this facility, we keep on repeating the Gospel message to the inmates until we really see all of them turn their lives to Jesus, and this day was no exception.

LWA also did another Christmas party on December 17 at their ministry office which also runs a student center. Although the party was for the regular attendees of the Bible study held every Friday afternoon at the center, LWA also invited non-attendees of the Bible study to attend the event w/ the hope that the Gospel message they will hear in the program will finally struck them deep in their hearts. Everybody enjoyed the carol singing part, the games and the food. But for the LWA team, the most satisfying part was the delivery of the Christmas message of reconciliation w/ God through repentance and faith on Jesus Christ.

The following day, December 18, LWA did a Christmas outing for the faithful Christian volunteers working to make sure the biblical Gospel message is delivered to as many people as possible. The venue was at the La Mesa Eco-Park at Quezon City. The day was for fellowship and for thanksgiving for how God helped and used LWA in 2010. There was a sense of fulfillment in the air as talks went around what everyone experienced during a whole year of Gospel-sharing and WOTM seminars. And as that day was drawing to a close, the team was in anticipation for what God has in-store for LWA in 2011.

This week was so tiring! But we are always happy to have served our wonderful God.

Witnessing Clip December 2010: Using Christmas as Springboard

The Christmas season is a great springboard to use in sharing the Gospel to people. Everyone seems to have something to say about this yearly event. Watch how Dennis Mark Aglosolos used this very exciting Christian holiday to make an unsaved realize that Christmas day happened because of man's very serious problem: SIN.

Witnessing Clip (Nov. 2010): Cebu City Open-Air Preaching

To all of you who want to see how you can get the attention of people in the outdoors so you can preach the Gospel to them, here's a clip of Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos preaching at Colon St. (oldest street in the Philippines), Cebu City during GOSPEL BUZZ 2010.

Successful Gospel Buzz 2010

This year's GOSPEL BUZZ at Cebu was a big success! The 5th staging of this evangelistic mission trip happened from Oct. 24 to Oct. 29. God provided every cent we needed and even more. He answered our prayer for less rain during the dates that we were there. And the strength that every member of the team needed was definitely abounding as evidenced by how many Cebuanos got to hear and read the Gospel.

Almost everyone of the 20,000 Gospel tracts that we brought to Cebu were distributed. Even a cab driver that Dennis Mark Aglosolos witnessed to distributed 500 tracts to 500 cab drivers because he was so convicted by the message that emphasized sin, righteousness and judgment that he thought it important to also share the message to others. Hundreds got to hear the Gospel through one-to-one Gospel-sharing and in open-air preaching sessions. A significant number of Christians were also trained in the Way of the Master through the mini-WOTM seminar the team did at Living Word Church, I.T. Park, and several of them were so challenged that they joined the LWA team in the streets.

We can only thank and praise the Lord for what He did in the trip. We can't wait for the next trip. To all of you who prayed and supported the trip financially, "Thank you very much!" Please enjoy this video we made documenting what transpired during Gospel Buzz 2010.

Gospel-Preaching & Bible Distribution

Last October 16, 2010, Living Waters Asia went to Nueva Ecija (about 5 hours drive from Manila), to a very remote place in the province to share the Gospel and to distribute 300 Tagalog Bibles to people who will be hearing the Good News and to Christians who crave for their own copy of God's Word.

Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos delivered the Gospel message to audience that included local candidates to that month's Barangay Elections. The Bibles were donated by Christians from the US and from Generics Pharmacy, a Christian pharmaceutical company in the Philippines.

This was the second time the LWA team came to Nueva Ecija. The first time was about five years ago when they were part of the evangelism team in a medical mission organized by Buddy and Arleen Valdez. A church was established because of that medical mission. A lot of the recipients of the Bibles are members of that church.

Please pray for our next Bible-Evangelism activity one to two months from now.

Witnessing Clip (Oct. 2010): Sharing the Gospel to groups

How do you share the Gospel to groups? Watch this clip from Living Waters Asia. In this clip, you will also see how ice-breakers could be so useful in gathering people to listen to your delivery of the Gospel message.

LWA Conducts Retreat for NCAP 4th Year Students

Living Waters Asia, for the third year in a row, has facilitated Notre Christi Academy of the Philippines' retreat for it's 4th year students. For LWA, the purpose for conducting this yearly retreat is two-fold. First, to raise funds for it's yearly mission trip, the Gospel Buzz, which takes place at Cebu City this year. Second but the most important, is to deliver the Gospel message as clearly as possible to the graduating High School students of NCAP. We're happy to announce that both purposes were achieved, especially the second one.

The students heard the preaching of sin, righteousness and judgment several times during the 3-day event (Aug. 31-Sept.2). The morning devotionals talked about this important topic, as well as the lectures conducted by Dennis Mark Aglosolos, Arvin Cunanan and Kimphy Desiderio. The team was so encouraged by the feedback they got from the students even if the topics were not really that easy for naturally care-free young people to accept. This showed how the Holy Spirit moved during the event.

Please continue praying for the students that attended the event.

Witnessing Clip (Sept.. 2010):Sharing the Gospel in the mall

We go fishing where the fishes are. The mall is one place where fishes are. Watch this witnessing clip with three young people spending time in the mall. We're sure that this is the most significant time these friends have spent in a mall.

CEBU WOTM Seminar

Our one-day Cebu Way of the Master seminar last Aug. 14 was such a big success, by God's grace. The event that took place at the facilities of Living Word Christian Ministries in Cebu City was attended by Christians, not only from the host church, but likewise from other cities and provinces. There were delegates from Mindanao and Filipinos from Australia. Delegates were exposed to the errors of the modern gospel message as well as to the biblical basis of a message that preaches sin, righteousness and judgment. For most of the attendees, this was the first time they heard about using the Law in Gospel preaching.

There were those that testified after the event how the seminar has renewed their commitment to the ministry of evangelism. From the reactions in the faces of several people who attended the event, one can sense the Holy Spirit moving as the topic of True and False Converts was being delivered.

We are so thankful for the people that God used to make this event possible. The following are: Bro. Gabriel Bernedo for his generosity and great Christian hospitality; the leaders and members of Living Word Christian Ministries; Bro. Sean Christie for introducing us to the host church; the people of Fishers For Men in the US as well as other Christians that gave financially to this event. We'll just let the Lord bless you for your part in making our Cebu event such a blessing to many that attended it.

Please watch the short video below to see how God moved during the event.

Witnessing Clip (Aug. 2010): "I don't mind going to hell"

Here's one person that you don't encounter in your one-to-one sessions that often. When everyone in his sane state would want to evade hell, this young man is okay with it because he believes he deserves it (his right with that) even if you have informed him that there's a way out of this scary situation. When asked if he loves himself, he answered that he's really not sure. Watch this clip so that if you encounter someone like him in your evangelism efforts, you will know how to put some sense in the person's mind.

Evangelism during the Presidential Inauguration

What do you expect to abound during the inauguration ceremony of a new president of a country? Of course, PEOPLE! And that’s exactly what field the area where the Quirino Grandstand, in the famed Luneta Park is, on June 30, 2010 (estimated crowd: 500,000), as the Philippines witnessed the inauguration of Benigno Aquino III as the 15th president of the Republic.

And where there are people, for the responsible Christian, there are souls to reach for Christ. That was the reason why a team from Living Waters Asia forgot that the day was supposed to be a holiday, a time to rest, but instead trooped early in the morning to the venue of the inauguration to share the Gospel to people. How easy it was to do fishing when the fishes are all around you waiting to be caught. The team’s supply of Gospel tracts were all distributed in a matter of 30 minutes and so, they used their remaining time talking to people about the only message that can bring them to Heaven.

Think of what we, Christians, can do if all of us would just embrace opportunities like this to deliver the Gospel to people. You can be sure that the next time a big crowd like this turns out in one place, LWA will be there. But we hope to also see you there.

Witnessing Clip (July 2010): Politics as springboard to the Gospel

Last June 30, 2010, LWA was at the inauguration ceremony for the new Philippine president. With thousands of people around to witness this historical event, the LWA team couldn’t resists the temptation of using the event as a springboard for the Gospel. Watch how Jayvee eagerly answered questions about what every Filipino needs to do to help the new president turn our country around (according to him, to be good persons), and how he was caught off-guard when asked if he thinks he is a good person. Enjoy this clip!

LWA 2010 Evangelistic Youth Camp, a BIG SUCCESS!

No one can really stop God when He decides to move in things we do for Him. That was what we experienced during our recently concluded 2010 evangelistic youth camp last May 31 to June 2 at Lola Corazon Resort at Candaba, Pampanga. When delegates' confirmation of attendance seem to hint that we will not reach our target, God definitely heard our cries for Him to intervene. We reached our target and even more! The speakers, Dennis Mark Aglosolos, Arvin Cunanan and Rev. Arsenio Chan, Jr., explained why we are not glorifying God in our lives if we continue to yield to sin. The same was emphasized in the devotions and during the Bible study session. Although the games were really a big hit, what we enjoyed more was the responses of the delegates for God's call for repentance and faith on Jesus Christ. A lot of the delegates voiced their understanding of the truth that the only way they can start glorifying God in their lives is if they make a decision to get right with God now.

To everyone that donated and prayed for the camp, to the Star Youth Ministries volunteers, to Gloria Hillman, Buddy and Arleen Valdez, Rolly and Joyce Aglosolos that prepared the sumptuous meals for the delegates, we can only say "THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your love to the Lord!"

Below is a video of the things that took place during the camp:

Witnessing Clip (June 2010): All the way from Singapore

Dennis Mark Aglosolos was recently in Singapore with close relatives. While there, he made sure to shoot this months witnessing clip with someone from this very disciplined country. Pray for Kenney. This was the first time he really understood what Jesus did for him at the cross.

Successful April 30th WOTM Seminar

Our April 30th WOTM Seminar was a big success! The event that took place at Mustard Seed Christian Baptist Church, Bustos, Bulacan was one of the most well-attended trainings that LWA has conducted in the last 2 years. In attendance were 143 pastors and Christian workers (43 churches represented) coming from different Luzon provinces, the farthest of which was about 5 hours of drive from the venue. Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos delivered 4 lectures on biblical evangelism in the one day event, while LWA volunteers gave a witnessing demo and a testimony on how the Way of the Master influenced their Christian walk. A free copy of The Way of the Master book were given to each pastor that attended and everyone got free samples of Living Waters Ice Breakers.

Requests for the same seminar to be conducted in churches that were represented came in not even halfway the seminar. A church, which wanted the LWA team to come right away to their place to do a seminar, couldn't wait any longer and so they conducted the same training to 3 churches in their province a week after our April 30th event. Everyone were in agreement with the principle of evangelism that LWA shared.

But the best story we heard from the people who attended the seminar was that of a pastor's son who has been so active in their church. After hearing Dennis' lecture on True and False Conversion, he realized that in all the years he has been serving in their church, he was a false convert. And so, the following day, after the Lord kept talking to him, he came to the Savior in humble repentance and faith.

The seminar was organized through the generous donations of different Christians and ministries who believed in what LWA has been sharing to people. One ministry is Fishers For Men Ministries (http://fishers4menblog.blogspot.com/). Watch the video below that their ministry made documenting the success of the seminar.:

Witnessing Clip (May 2010)

Starting this month, Living Waters Asia will be posting witnessing clips from the evangelism activities of the LWA team. We hope the clips will help you in your own evangelism efforts.

Prayer and Fasting

Last April 9, the people of Living Waters Asia engaged in 16 hours of prayer and fasting. This was done as part of the 4th anniversary of Star Youth Ministries.

Our goal was to draw closer to God so we could listen to Him more clearly as to what direction He wants the ministry of LWA should take in the near future. We also took time to pray for everyone that supported the ministry throughout the years. The event also gave each participant a chance to talk to God about our personal lives and to ask for His empowerment to do more of His will.

We enjoyed focusing on God for 16 hours. We really felt His presence. As to the answers God has for all the prayers we lifted to Him, we can only wait with excitement for how He will move in the coming days, weeks, months and years.

New Gospel Tract

This is still hot from the printing press! Living Waters Asia has just released its newest Gospel tract. Look at the picture on the right and try to find out what's written on the picture. Don't read the rest of this news item until you see it or until you've given up. Please don't cheat.

...one minute

...two minutes

...three minutes

So what's you're answer?

This tract is called Finding Jesus. This Gospel tract shows people how they can make Jesus a significant person in their lives by the use of the Law. People we have given this tract to really enjoyed it. Not only that, it also gives out The Message very clearly.

Finding Jesus is available in both English and Filipino. And because this was locally printed, you can be sure that it's very affordable. So what are you waiting for? Get your copies of this tract.

LWA continues monthly evening to morning evangelism

Last February 5, LWA brought a team to Manila to do street evangelism in night life areas. They delivered the Gospel from late evening to early morning. This is the second time they did this and hopes to do this on a monthly basis to add to their regular evangelism activities.

Dennis Mark Aglosolos and his team first went to Luneta Park. Gospel tracts were distributed and several people were engaged in conversations about the after life. Dennis even had a chance to join a group of 30 people or more who regularly gather at the famous Philippine landmark to debate on various philosophies and religions. The group that grew to about 40 heard Dennis explain our responsibility with the sins we commit, and eventually, the Gospel.

After Luneta, the team went to posh Eastwood where the rich and famous would spend the late hours socializing. Hundreds of Gospel tracts were distributed to these people, including the call center agents during their Yosi Break (cigarette break). They ended at around 2 in the morning.

Please continue to pray for the LWA as they plan for more evangelism activities so that more could hear the Gospel. Next month, the team will be at Global City. If you happen to see them distributing WOTM tracts, do join them. We're sure they'll welcome other ambassadors of the Gospel to help them.

LWA partners with Australian in winning Filipinos for Christ

December to the 1st week of January maybe the holiday season, but that does not mean that our task of sharing the Gospel will have to also take a break. LWA made sure this did not happen.

When a friend of LWA, JM Vergara informed Dennis Mark Aglosolos that an Australian Christian will be coming over during the holidays to do some mission work here in the Philippines and that they are hoping to get some people to join them, Dennis right away signed up his team for the task. The LWA team joined Luke Stewart and JM on their Dec. 28 tracts distribution at the Greenbelt Mall in Makati. The security people of the mall were in constant pursuit of the gang whom they informed had no right to distribute Gospel tracts. Of course we know that there's no such law in the Philippines against what we were doing and so we continued on.

On Jan. 1, it was LWA's turn to invite Luke and JM to join them in an evening Gospel sharing. The LWA team got the ball rolling by doing two open-air preaching sessions at Luneta Park which was at that time filled with literally thousands of people who decided to spend the first day of 2010 outside of their homes. After that, the team went on to Makati to pick-up Luke and company. The group went to the upscale area of Rockwell and did some one-to-one witnessing and distributed bundles of Gospel tracts. After an hour, which was around 1 am already of Jan. 2, the group felt they had more energy left to continue on. And so, they decided to go back to Luneta where thousands of people were still around. We had a great time distributing copies of the Gospel and talking to people about sin, righteousness and judgment. At around 3 am, the team called it a night (or morning, I should say).

We hope to make evening evangelism sessions a monthly activity. It will be great if you can join us there.
