Rev. Telesforo Yague, Sr. goes home to his Maker

Rev. Telesforo B. Yague, Sr., the face of the Million Peso Bill tract and grandfather of LWA's managing director, Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos, went home to our Lord last December 2, 2009, four months after collapsing at his apartment due to a stroke. His life of service to our Lord has been an inspiration to LWA throughout the nearly four years it has been in existence. Rev. Yague, Sr. has also been a great supporter and prayer partner of the ministry. He'll definitely be missed by people who know him but we're sure that his message will continue to live on through the Million Peso Bill tract.

To everyone who prayed for Rev. Yague, Sr. during his confinement to a hospital bed, the Yague family and LWA extend their sincerest "Thanks" to you.

Christmas programs for evangelism

Living Waters Asia and the Star Youth Ministries are currently very busy using the Christmas season to preach the biblical Gospel. They just did one at the Provincial Juvenile Jail of the province of Bulacan last Dec. 11. There were games and food for the inmates which really made the day extra special for them. The Gospel was preached at the end of the program. This is the 4th year that LWA has been holding this Christmas program for the inmates. Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos has been conducting weekly Bible studies here for the lst three years.

Another Christmas program where the Gospel has the main part will be held for students attending schools around the area of the LWA office on Dec. 14. The event will be held at the SYM Student Center. Please pray for this event.

Thaniks to everyone that gave financially for these events!

Gospel Buzz '09 a BIG Success

From the moment we stepped in our rented bus until we unloaded our stuff off the bus for the last time, God's presence was evident on Living Waters Asia's yearly mission trip you came to know through the years as "The Gospel Buzz".

The trip was our most expensive and most difficult to date but it was all worth it. From Oct. 26 to Oct. 30, the team composed of young evangelists braved the heat of the sun, the height of mountains and fought physical exhaustion just to deliver the biblical Gospel message to the people of Oriental Mindoro. People of both the lowlands and the highlands heard the Gospel preached the way Jesus did. People of a section of the Mangyan tribe understood the Gospel and were challenged to deliver it as well to other members of their tribe. There were programs for children, Gospel tracts and copies of the Book of John for everyone, open-air preaching sessions, one-to-one witnessing sessions, evangelistic film showings all throughout the stay of Living Waters Asia people at Mindoro.

And not even an impending storm could tarnish what God had meant to be a successful trip. On their way home, the team faced the prospect of being stranded with very little funds left for more than 24 hours at the Calapan, Mindoro pier because the coast guard declared it unsafe to let any vessel leave the port due to a storm set to enter the area in a matter of hours. It was a good thing the pier administrator heard the Gospel through one of the members of the team who shared it to him. When a ship was cleared to leave the port after several hours of waiting, the team was given priority to board it. It turned out later that evening that our ship was only one of very few vessels that were allowed to sail and as a result, 4,000 people got stranded at the Calapan, Mindoro pier that day.

Thanks to everyone of you who prayed for and gave to this trip. Whatever was accomplished was because all of us, including you, obeyed God's call to be a part of this trip. We're looking forward to Gospel Buzz '10. We hope you'll again decide to be a part of it.

LWA Conducts Retreat for NCAP anew

Last year, LWA, for the very first time, got the nod of Notre Christi Academy of the Philippines officials to facilitate its yearly retreat for their college-bound 4th year high school students. This year, we did again. The retreat, like last year, was held at Amber Trail Resort and Hotels at Pampanga last Sept. 1-3. LWA was given a free hand to organize the retreat, from the games, accommodation and all the way to the lectures. The team saw this as another opportunity to share the Gospel to students.

The theme for this year's retreat was "Warning: Danger Ahead." The theme aimed to bring to the knowledge of students dangers in the college life that may bring away their focus, not only from their studies, but more importantly from God. Arvin Cunanan did a lecture on "Peer Pressure", Andrea Amor Franco talked about "Fads, Fashion, Philosophies, etc., in the College Life", and Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos talked about "The Dangers Beyond this Life." Andrea and Kimphy Desiderio handled the morning devotions where sin, righteousness and judgment was the main topic. The whole retreat was described by the attendees as fun, informative and eye-opening.

The Sunday after the retreat, about eight of the more than fifty attendees attended a nearby Bible-believing church in the area of the school. Praise the Lord for seeds that have been planted in the hearts of young students!

RevGen Sponsored WOTM Seminars

We praise the Lord because since we shared to you last July that RevGen (a Christian organization geared to uniting youth Christians in Bulacan) opened opportunities for Living Waters Asia to conduct WOTM seminars to member churches, we have conducted six seminars already. Just last Sunday, we had three simultaneous seminars in three towns in Bulacan. Thanks to Star Youth Ministries members, holding simultaneous WOTM seminars was made possible.

The great thing about these RevGen sponsored WOTM seminars is that even if they're done in a particular host church, other churches attend the seminar, including non-RevGen member churches. Adding to the success of these seminars are the attendance of adults and elders of churches.

To RevGen and it's leaders, "Thank you!" for the chance to spread the WOTM principle. May God continue to bless your ministry.

A Prayer Request...

Please pray for Rev. Telesforo B. Yague, Sr., the grandfather of Living Waters Asia's Managing Director, Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos. Rev. Yague, Sr. may be familiar to you. Yes, he's the face of the Million Peso Bill tract. After a visit to the Philippines last July, the 87-year old pastor was found unconscious in his apartment in Chicago. Doctors attending to him said he had a stroke, and as a result, his left brain was damaged. He was asleep for more than a week. He is now able to open his eyes but still can't communicate.

During Rev. Yague, Sr.'s years of Christian service, he was, by God's grace, able to start several churches in the Philippines. People who know him can attest to his zeal in sharing the Gospel. This was actually Rev. Yague's prayer that he told Dennis... that God will add more years to his life so he can share the Gospel to more people.

Pray for God's will regarding Rev. Yague, Sr.'s condition.

WOTM Seminar at United Evangelical Church of Greenhills

Living Waters Asia was recently at United Evangelical Church of Greenhills for a Way of the Master Seminar (July 19, 2009). Through the coordination of the church's associate pastor, Ptr. Mike Lim, the LWA team was invited to explain what biblical evangelism is.

Together with Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos were members of the Star Youth Ministries who were assigned small groups to handle practices of one-to-one witnessing among the attendees of the seminar. Dennis' 7-year old son, Alen Daniel, was likewise present as he gave a testimony of his experiences in sharing the Gospel to strangers in parks and marketplaces. The testimony aimed to impart the idea that if a 7-year old kid can do it, how much more older Christians.

The seminar was a big success! The hall where the seminar was conducted was really full packed. The team had a great time answering questions from the attendees. We hope that more churches like UEGC will open their doors for LWA to conduct WOTM Seminars.

Chinese Gospel Tract

We have finally printed Living Waters Asia's first ever Gospel tract in the Chinese language. We know that many of you have been inquiring to us about this. Thanks to a faithful brother in Christ, Benaiah Villanueva, our "Are you a good person" comic tract is now available in the simplified Chinese language. And because this tract was printed locally, it's way cheaper than the tracts we imported from the US.

As most of you know, this tract can clearly show any person who reads it how wrong his/her understanding of his/her morality. People will understand that it's not man's standard that will matter on Judgment Day. It's God's high benchmark that will be in play on that scary day of judgment. With the comic illustration, people will surely be attracted to read this tract.

So to our Chinese brethren, enjoy giving out this tract! A tract in the Japanese language will be next on our project. Please pray for this.

WOTM Seminar for RevGen members

Revive Generation is a Christian youth organization that affiliates with churches in the Bulacan area. The aim of the organization is to unite young Christians towards obedience to our Lord. One of the areas the organization would want to stir young Christians to obedience is in the Great Commission.

To achieve this goal, RevGen, through the leadership of its current President, Rannie Cabalquinto, organized a Way of the Master seminar for its members last July 12, 2009 at Christ Gospel Fellowship Ministries, Bustos, Bulacan. In attendance were youth representatives from member churches. Conducting the seminar was Dennis Mark Y. Aglosolos and the LWA team. The principle was well received and the need for a more active involvement in the ministry of evangelism of young Christians was unanimously agreed upon by the attendees. As a result, the RevGen leadership agreed to have two (2) simultaneous WOTM seminars on August at two different venues in Bulacan. Pray for the success of this upcoming event.

Dennis Mark Aglosolos at Macau

It was a great day to preach about the Gospel! Dennis Mark Aglosolos flew all the way to Macau to do just this. The event was the Recognition Day of Maranatha Learning Center, a ministry of Filipino International Baptist Church pastored by Dennis' cousin, Ptr. Samuel Dave Aglosolos.

The crowd was mixed. There were both Christians and non-Christians all waiting to watch their children be honored for their year-long accomplishments in the said school. But before all the festivities took place, Ptr. Dave made sure that the Gospel be delivered. And so, he asked his cousin to do the honors in delivering the life-changing message.

The event went well. Congratulations to FIBC, Ptr. Dave and his very supportive wife, Sis Dory. And thanks also for the great accommodation. God bless you all there!

Successful LWA Youth Evangelistic Camp '09

Last May 28 & 29, 2009, Living Waters Asia conducted a free evangelistic camp for young people. The theme for the 2-day event was "Life's Most Important Decision." It was held at Guess Resort at San Rafael, Bulacan.

Campers enjoyed the different amenities of the resort such as the swimming pools, billiards hall, air-conditioned rooms, etc. In between the games and swimming time were sessions conducted by Arvin Cunanan and Dennis Mark Aglosolos. Arvin delivered messages about the importance of the Scriptures in man's life, as well as the importance of honoring our parents. Dennis, on the other hand, delivered messages on the sinful man's standing infront a just and holy God, his destination and God's way of salvation. Other Star Youth members handled the morning and evening group devotions, as well as the counselings.

The event was a big success that's why LWA has decided to make this a yearly event. They also intend to make the camp longer for next year. To know how you can support events like this and othe LWA programs, email us at support@livingwaters-asia.com.

A "FIREPROOF" Summer

If there's one word that will describe LWA's 2009 summer, it's "FIREPROOF". We have been so busy in the past two months holding special screenings of this movies. We've screened it twice in Pangasinan, twice in a Baliuag theater, screened it in two homes were unsaved people were invited. And we're not yet done. On the 23rd of May, we will be screening it in Quezon City, and there's a standing invitation for another screening, possibly on the early part of June for a women's
group.

Thousands of people have already heared the Gospel both from the movie and the preaching that Dennis Mark Aglosolos does after every screening. We only have our Lord to thank for the opportunity he has opened for the Gospel through this once in a lifetime movie.

WOTM Seminar at GLCC Baguio City

Living Waters Asia was recently in Baguio City to do a WOTM seminar. Guiding Light Christian Church organized this event that ran from the evening of April 24 all the way to the rainy afternoon of April 25. Attending the seminar were about 150 faithful Christians from the GLCC workers, several from Agoo, La Union, some representatives from the Philippine Military Academy, and a van full of Christians from the far away province of Batac, Ilocos Norte.

Dennis Mark Aglosolos gave lectures on the following topics: True and False Conversion, the Power of the Shame of the Cross, Hell's Best Kept Secret and How to Make Soul-Winning a Lifestyle among Christians. After the lectures, GLCC organized an on-the-job training session. Participants were organized in small groups and then sent to different spots at Baguio City. When the OJT was over, a count of how many people had a chance to hear the Gospel from the one-to-ones was made. Everybody was praising God after knowing that 194 people heard the Gospel despite the heavy rain. The participants also felt the joy that comes with doing God's will in their lives. Everyone had a smile on their face as they left the seminar while telling the organizers of the event of their commitment to regularly declare the Gospel to people.

Thanks so much to GLCC and their head pastor, Robbie Casas, and Ptr. Rene Ely, the head of the church's Ministry of Evangelism for their efforts in making this event a big success. We hope to work with you again in the future.

Star Youth Ministries Celebrates 3rd Anniversary

Last April 19, 2009, Star Youth Ministries, the evangelism arm of Living Waters Asia, celebrated it's 3rd anniversary. and just like their anniversary last year, they celebrated God's three years of faithfulness by doing what they enjoy doing best--- sharing the Gospel. After a short worship time at the Living Waters Asia office, they headed to town proper of Pulilan, Bulacan. It was "market day" that day at Pulilan and so, people were all over the place. The team gave out Gospel tracts and did some one-to-one witnessing whenever it was possible. After that, everyone enjoyed a well-deserved lunch at a nearby restaurant.

God has really been so faithful to the ministry of Star Youth. Before Living Waters Asia was conceived, SYM was already doing WOTM seminars and sharing the Gospel to places. Looking back, we are really amazed how God has used these young people in training thousands of Christians to share the Gospel biblically, the way Jesus did, and in bringing the God's gift of salvation to people all over the Philippines (we've done already three mission trips in Philippine provinces). We can't wait for our next assignment from our Master.

To God be all the glory for what SYM has become in the last three years! Thanks for all of you who have supported this ministry.

FIREPROOF special screening, a BIG success

The special screening we had for the movie FIREPROOF last March 7, 2009 at Aliw Cinema at Baliuag, Bulacan, starring Way of the Master's very own, Kirk Cameron, was a big success. Below is a video of what happened. We'll let it do the talking for us:

And because of the success of this event, we will hold another special screening of the movie on March 28, 2PM, and again at Aliw Theater cinema 2 at Baliuag, Bulacan. This second screening will be sponsored by Notre Christi Academy of the Philippines (www.ncapgreenrangers.net). If you want to know how you can get tickets for this event, email us at fireproof@livingwaters-asia.com.

Recent WOTM Seminars of LWA

LWA has recently conducted two WOTM seminars. The first one happened last January 30 at the LWA ministry office. The seminar was conducted for the members of a Christian organization at Baliuag University. They call their organization "Against the Flow" (the university though has refused to grant this organization recognition due to its Christian stands). Through the coordination of its current president, Rey Miranda (he is also a member of the Star Youth Ministries), Lester Cabais and Dennis Mark Aglosolos took turns in explaining what Biblical evangelism is and how it is done. They also explained why not doing it this way may result to false conversions. Dennis Mark Aglosolos also gave a testimony of how he came to a realization that he was not yet a true Christian despite years of service in the church that he grew-up at after looking at himself through the mirror of the Law.

Last February 8, another seminar was conducted by LWA, this time, for the faithful members of Bond-Servants of Love Christian Church at Paranaque, Metro, Manila. This seminar has been in the works as early as late last year when the church's resident pastor, Ptr. Caloy Figueras, started calling Dennis Mark Aglosolos to inquire about the details of the WOTM seminar LWA conducts. The seminar really went well as the host church found the WOTM principle very in-tuned to the principles they hold, especially regarding God's demand for true repentance. The church committed itself to learning more about the principle as evidenced by their purchase of the Basic Training Course, to go along with the variety of WOTM Gospel tracts they also bought.

We know you will find this very encouraging. Five days after the seminar that LWA conducted for members of "Against the Flow" Christian organization of Baliuag University, several of them have since joined SYM in its weekly street evangelism blitz at the Glorietta of Baliuag, Bulacan. They have fully understood that this is their duty and that they need to also do it the way Jesus did it. Praise the Lord for how He has really moved! If only more Christians will respond to the call of the Great Commission the way these students did, more souls will be brought to the throne of God asking for His saving grace.

Children for Christ Ministry

Praise the Lord for how God has been allowing Living Waters Asia to expand the scope of people it tries to reach for Christ! It has been the desire of the ministry to have access to people of all ages. Recently, God has made this a reality when Children for Christ Ministry affiliated with Living Waters Asia. This ministry has been in existence for several years already, faithfully heeding the Great Commission, going to different schools and sharing the Gospel to children. Members of the Star Youth Ministries (the current evangelism arm of LWA) have even joined in the past in crusades to children they have organized. When the need came for them to have some legal identity, they thought of affiliating with us. Even before, their group has been subscribing to the preaching of the biblical Gospel message that uses the Law to show man his sinfulness. They've even asked Living Waters Asia to conduct a WOTM seminar to the volunteers of their ministry in the past.

With CFCM on board, we can effectively do more for our Master. For all of you in the Bulacan area who would like to volunteer for the ministry of CFCM, or you want to give your financial support to their evangelism activities, feel free to contact them at cfcm@livingwaters-asia.com.
